Scope of work/responsibilities:

Our client's Product Engineering department is looking to hire a contractor
to assist with the testing of evaluation boards. Candidates will be working
in the lab and handling test plans that can be very detailed and extensive.
Individual will: 1) prepare technical documentation for electronic
components / products under development; 2) direct set up of test equipment
and conduct appropriate tests on new evaluation boards and analyze test
results; 3) create documents for products based upon engineering
information; and 4) perform research regarding materials or parts needed for
design by use of handbook data and working knowledge of available catalogue
and standard purchasable parts and components.

Required skills/qualifications:

We will consider candidates with 2+ years of lab experience testing at board
and/or chip level. A working knowledge of PC architecture, USB/VL/PCI bus
protocols and is familiar with VGA hardware and software at a functional 1
register level. Proficiency with various lab equipment such as oscilloscopes
and logic analyzers. Familiar with Flat Panel Technologies (LCD Panels),
display controllers, cell phones, etc. Individual may be required to do some
scripting on an "as needed basis". Required: BSci / E.E. or BCIT with
related work experience.
