Scope of work/responsibilities:
We are seeking a Helpdesk/Support Technician to join our client's Corporate
IT department. This is a crucial role as the candidate will act as the first
point of contact for our client's internal employees. The technician will
provide first level troubleshooting support for software, hardware and
network related problems using Helpdesk tools to track and document requests
and actions performed. Daily responsibilities are to: 1) troubleshoot and
resolve client problems using established; 2) document and track client
problems, requests, actions and troubleshooting performed through provided
Helpdesk Tools; 3) answer client calls and reply to client emails and
voicemails; 4) work with and follow up with support teams on outstanding
issues and severity issues; and 5) update existing and document new
procedures to be shared with other team members.
This is an excellent role position that is suitable for a flexible
individual that enjoys working in a fast-pace environment that is
analytically stimulating.
Required skills/qualifications:
We are looking for a keen individual that is continuously striving for
outstanding customer service. The applicant must be able to work flexible
hours, have exceptional problem solving skills and excellent verbal and
written communication skills. The candidate will have superior
organizational skills with good follow through and initiative. To be
considered the individual must have a good working knowledge of both Unix
and Windows platforms, LAN/WAN technologies and networking protocols.
Furthermore applicants must have experience with hardware such as laser
printers, scanners routers, hubs and POS equipment.
